Jingyang Dong started her piano studies when she was 8 years old. She pursued a business major upon entering college and after she earned her bachelor and master degrees in Business Management, she realized music is still her biggest passion. She left her business job and pursed her passion in classical music.
Jingyang earned her secondary bachelor degree in Piano performance at John J. Cali School of music in New Jersey, and her master degree in Piano Performance with a great scholarship at Mannes School of Music in New York City under the tutelage of Ann Schien, an apostle of master pianist, Arthur Rubinstein.
Today, she is an avid music teacher, who has 6-year teaching experience and has tutored over 40 students from beginner to advanced levels. She is dedicated to developing and increasing students' interest and passion in music and believes in the happiness that learning music can bring.
She specializes not only in piano tutoring, but also in music theory teaching. She runs workshops for ABRSM practical and theory exams preparation. Merit and Distinction scores in ABRSM theory exams and achieved first and second places at the state level in ABRSM practical exams. Furthermore, students also won the international piano competitions.
